Otterhound - This unique hound has an uncertain history with mere guesses at its forefathers. Some say that it originated in France from a mix of the French Vendéen hound, the Welsh harrier, the Southern hound, the bloodhound and a possibly a water spaniel as well. Others agree that it has bloodhound in it, but that terriers and griffons also had a role in its creation. Additional guesses include the bulldog and even wolf.
