Perhaps those of you with currently active therapy dogs could tell me if there is a difference or advantage registering with one or the other. In my town tests are offered through both organizations, but I believe I had read on other threads that you can only register with one. Does registering with one disqualify you for opportunities connected to the other? For instance, is it possible to register with Delta Society, only to find out the local hospital works with TDI? There is a non-profit organization dog therapy group in town that has a reading program, a hospice program, etc. and I think they are connected with Delta. Does that mean if I am registered with TDI I would not be able to work with them? I appreciate any clarification you can offer!
