I got a package from the folks at PetSmart the other day with a few pet products they’re calling their favorite things. They wanted me to try them out with Archie, Lydia, and Tequila. I have to admit though, I’ve tried some of them out in the past and they truly are some of my favorite pet products.
Here they are…
The FURminator - I did a review on this a few months back and I can tell you this is definitely one of my favorite pet products! It’s better than any brush I’ve ever used on my cat and dogs, and the best part is, they really enjoy being FURminated! I don’t know how she does it but my cat, Tequila, comes running if I just go near the darn thing, and even pushes the dogs away so she can get her FURminator time!
Gentle Leader - This head collar is a standard tool for a lot of trainers and people who want to teach their dogs to heel without jerking the dog’s neck. It puts light pressure on the dog’s muzzle and back of the neck and when used properly, it’s easier on the dog than a standard collar. I used it to teach Lydia to walk at my side and was really pleased with how it worked. Again…one of my favorite pet products.
Greenies Pill Pockets - Many pet sitters won’t try to pill cats without pill pockets! These are soft treats with a small pocket in them big enough for a pill to fit in, and makes for an easy way to get medication down an unwilling pet. It’s true some pets may find the medication in them and only eat the treat but for others, they’re such fun treats they’ll gulp them down before they have a chance to find the pill inside. I tried these out but to be honest, my guys are so easy to give pills to that I just use them as a treat after they get their meds.
N2N Poop Patrol - These bags are for that nasty job nobody really wants to do - pick up poop. and they come in gray, pink, or blue. They also come with a handy storage container that can easily clip on a belt or even your leash…it even has a safety reflector on it to help with visibility when walking at night. And although I don’t see it on the package, the information PetSmart sent with all of these products says the bags are made from biodegradable materials.
Nature’s Miracle Dander Remover & Body Deodorizer - This is a biodegradable enzyme formula that can be sprayed on your cat or dog to help cut down on pet odor and dander. The ingredients list includes water, Nature’s Enzymes, isopropyl alcohol, and natural citrus scent. My dogs aren’t all that smelly and don’t have a dander problem, but for pets who do this might be helpful…and for people who are allergic to their pet’s dander!
PetSmart bills these as some of their favorite things, but I’m curious to know what your favorite pet products are. Let’s hear it!
