We're doing the Granuloma Tango over here. Dudley was diagnosed on Monday with a granuloma on his right front leg. We were sent home with two prescriptions and one big ol' cone-headed dog.
I was told I could remove the cone this morning, but when I did, he went right back to licking the sore. So, he's cone-headed again for the foreseeable future.
I'd really appreciate any tips or tricks. Dudley doesn't seem to mind the cone as much as I do...he spends his days crashing from walls to furniture, pinball style, but he can't get through our dog door with that satellite dish on his head.
I'm thinking of leaving the cone on for another day or two, then dosing him up good with Benadryl and putting on his topical numbing medicine before I remove the cone again.
What do y'all think?
