Well, Jester is surely giving us fist-time dog owners a run for our money. Almost 3 years into owning him and he still comes up with new material that has us running to the pet supply store at all hours. :rolleyes: Anywho, since this is uncharted territory for me, I thought I'd ask for your guys' help. He ripped off most of his dew claw while he was running in the backyard today. It's still attached, but I can see the inner core of the nail. It's pretty much the whole outer "hard" part that's loose. I'm sure it hurts like heck. I applied Kwik-Stop, cleaned it off a few minutes later, applied Neosporin to a cotton ball, and wrapped his leg with a bandage I bought from the pet store for our doggie first aid kit. It doesn't seem to be bothering him now...he's walking just fine. Is this a vet thing or am I being overprotective dog mom? Thanks so much...
