Dog Health : Being a Single Professional, and a Lab Owner

Hello All. I was hoping to get your input and ideas on how you arrange for the care of your dog when you are at work. I am a successful person professionally who works a normal 9 to 5 job. I have owned my lab now for over three years, and have recently seperated. I have found myself having a hard time making arrrangements for dog care. There is now a chance that my job may take me to Washington DC. The thought of me moving there for this job opportunity excites me because of the new doors it will open for me. However it also causes concern because I wonder how I will arrange for care of my dog. I am willing to fork out a few hundred dollars a month if needed for someone to watch the dog. I have also pondered installing a doggie door in my home so that he can let himself out during the day. However I think finding a home with a fenced in yard may be tough in DC. I was wondering how many of you out there are single and have this same challenge. I love my dog, and much like a child, I don't believe in just giving him away when things get tough. I hope that some of you can provide some insight. Thanks in advance! Jeff.
